You always know it's getting close to the end of a year when Strictly Come Dancing returns to our screens.

The show is due to start back next month, but the BBC have just revealed the first celebrity to take part.

Mollie King from The Saturdays is set to follow in the footsteps of fellow bandmate, Frankie Bridge who was a runner up in 2014.

Mollie told Nick Grimshaw on Radio 1's breakfast show this morning that she's "so excited" and "can't wait to get into the sequins".

She added that "it's going to be a lot of hard work but I'm ready for the challenge."
