For those who aren't overly familiar with how the sport of baseball works, the ceremonial 'first pitch' is kind of a big deal.

It's a longstanding ritual of baseball in which a guest of honor throws a ball to mark the end of pregame festivities and the start of the game.

It's even more of a big deal when you do it in your home town, in a crosstown rival game, with your son, and your own music blaring across the stadium sound system.

Well Kanye West experienced that first hand yesterday, as he and his son Saint threw the 'first pitch' before the Chicago Cubs game at the Chicago White Sox.

The 41 year old is originally from the city Chicago and it was a special moment for himself to walk onto the field as his 2007 track 'Homecoming' was played at the Guaranteed Rate Field.

He took to Twitter with a simple picture captioned 'Happy Sunday.'
