This is a bizarre turn of events, but it's definitely something that the brothers will be complimentary of.

Actor James McEvoy has said he'd like to play the role of one of the Olympic Silver medal-winning O'Donovan brothers.

Rowers Gary and Paul rose to prominence following their performances at the Rio Games last year, and their very witty interviews after their races.

McEvoy shared the couch with the Skibbereen boys on Graham Norton, and seemed to enjoy their company:

Speaking to The Sun on the possibility of a movie about the pair, McEvoy said "We’ve been looking to do something else together that has heart, has action, has suspense, has comedy, has Olympic medals. It’s a no-brainer."

Imagine a movie about the O'Donovan brothers!
