'IT' Enjoys Successful Opening Weekend At The Box Office

The reboot of Stephen King's 'IT' has been widely anticipated ever since we first had a look at the trailer all that time ago.

The wait was well worth it, if it's opening weekend at the Box Office is anything to go by.

The adaptation of the 1980s novel took in over $117m for it's first weekend in cinemas in America, which is the third highest opening weekend this year.

It's beaten only by Beauty And The Beast and Guardian's Of The Galaxy Vol 2 of all movies released in 2017.

The movie also broke two records, according to Digital Spy, as it took in the most on it's opening weekend for any movie in September, and also became the highest grossing opening weekend for a horror or supernatural film.
