Ian Somerhalder has shared a first look at his character in the brand new TV show, 'V-Wars.'
The show, which is due to air on Netflix with ten episodes, is about a world where a Vampire virus takes over half the population. That's according to Digital Spy.
This isn't the first time Somerhalder has starred in a Vampire TV series. The actor is well known for his role as Damon Salvatore in the hit CW series, 'The Vampire Diaries.'
V-Wars is the first thing he's featured in since the series finale in March of last year.

This new show may very well be the answer to your Vampire Diaries withdrawel symptoms.
There is, however, a massive difference between the role Ian played in The Vampire Diaries and the role he's playing in V-Wars.
Damon was an arrogant, dark, sadistic and charming Vampire.
Whereas, in V-Wars, he plays the role of Dr. Luther Swann, who isn't a Vampire at all!
Somerhalder shared a picture of himself playing the role of the doctor to his Instagram account. He dons a pair of glasses, a white lab coat and blood drenched knuckles.
