Producers of the Eurovision have released a statement explaining how the stage invader who grabbed the microphone from the UK entrant managed to get on stage.
The European Broadcasting Union statement read:
"A person invaded the main stage during SuRie's performance at the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final in Lisbon"
"He climbed into the camera run and reached the main stage via the bridge, pursued by security."
"He was removed off stage after seven seconds and is being questioned by police."
The man in question has previously interrupted live broadcasts such as The Voice and The National Television Awards.
He calls himself Dr. ACActivism, and compared the UK media to Nazis when he jumped on stage last Saturday night.
Huge credit must go to SuRie as she carried on like a true pro when security handed her the microphone.
She may have finished 24th out of 26 countries but viewers around the continent were very impressed with how she handled the incident.
The 29 year broke her silence on Twitter:
Well, I've always said anything can happen at Eurovision ... 🤷♀ï¸
