MTV has suspended production on Catfish, following sexual misconduct allegations involving Nev Schulman.

An MTV spokesperson confirmed to E! News on Thursday 'We take these allegations very seriously. We're working with Critical Content, our third party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation and we've put a pause on shooting until the investigation is completed.'

These allegations come just days after a former guest on the show posted videos on YouTube, alleging that sexually charged language was used and she was repeatedly asked about her sexual orientation.

Nev has denied all allegations. He released a statement to Page 6 on Thursday which read:

'The behavior described in this video did not happen. I'm fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth. I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions -- but these claims are false.'

Nev has been the co-host of Catfish since 2012. The show is based on his and his co-host and producing partner's Max Jospeph's documentary of the same name.
