Bradley Cooper says one of the reasons he and Lady Gaga connected, was because they "were very loved as children".
The pair star together in his new movie A Star is Born - which is out in cinemas next month.
It's about seasoned musician Jackson Maine - Bradley's character - who discovers and falls in love with struggling artist Ally, played by Gaga.
He says the film stands apart from previous versions:
"I never saw it has trying to mimic anything, in fact, it felt like the perfect property for me to examine things that I've always wanted to examine cinematically."
"You know trauma family love trying to find your voice in this world and I wanted to do it with music."
