Boyzone are releasing one last album and going on one last tour next year, before calling it a day.
The lads announced the news on their Instagram page this morning. Their new album will be called "Thank You & Goodnight" and will be released on November 16th. Gary Barlow, Ed Sheeran and others have written songs for the album. Meanwhile the lads will head off on their farewell tour in January - they'll play Dublin's 3 Arena on the 24th. Their final album will be their seventh overall and their first since 2014.
On their website they also spoken about their tribute song to their late band member Stephen Gately- they have reworked a song Stephen originally recorded for his solo album back in 2002. It's called 'I Can Dream', you can hear a snippet of it in their Instagram video they posted this morning:
After 25 years, Boyzone will be releasing their last ever studio album and will embark on a farewell tour. "When we started out as five young Dublin Northsiders, eager to face the world, we never imagined that we’d still have an army of fans some twenty-five years later... If you’d seen our famous first TV appearance on The Late Late Show, you’d probably be surprised too! But what followed was the stuff of dreams."
