Changing your clocks every summer and winter could soon be a thing of the past.

Many believe the clock change negatively impacts on people's mental and physical health.

Today, the European Parliament voted in favour of keeping the same time all year round.

MEP's say it now puts pressure on the European Commission to implement the decision.

In the past, it's been reluctant to change the current system.

Many believe the clock change negatively impacts on people's mental and physical health.

One of those campaigning for the change was Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly "I'm very pleased that after years of discussions at committee level in the European Parliament, of which I the only Irish member, that our proposal was debated and voted on today in Parliament.
