We've already had the Coca-Cola and the John Lewis ads but every Irish person knows that the Christmas countdown really starts with the Late Late Toy Show.

No matter how old you get, the Late Late Toy Show is the must-see show of the year and we know you'll be staying in to watch it this Friday.

Here's what we know so far:

It's on this Friday 1st December from 9:35pm on RTÉ One. Cancel all other plans.

What's the theme?

This one has been kept under wraps. The trailer sees Ryan dressed as the Nutcracker but he's also hinted that this year's theme "might well be Disney themed" and will contain "lots of slime".

Will there be celebrity guests?

It wouldn't be The Late Late Toy Show without a famous face or two but bosses at RTÉ are keeping it top secret. In recent years, Ed Sheeran, Robbie Keane and Danny O'Donoghue from The Script have graced us with their presence but it remains a mystery as to who will be on the set this Friday.

I'm out of the country this Friday. Can I still watch it?

Of course! The show will also be broadcast live on RTÉ Player from 9:35pm (Irish time, obviously). It'll be available worldwide across Desktop, iOS and Android apps.

Are there any toy show parties?

Yes. MVP on Clanbrassil Street in Dublin is holding one on Friday. Expect Christmas jumpers a plenty and drinks specials.

I need one of those Toy Show jumpers. Where can I get my hands on one?

Our favourite Penneys comes to the rescue yet again! They're stocking a whole range of themed jumpers, loungewear, mugs and blankets for the occasion. The best part? The store is also donating a whopping €75,000 from the sales to the Temple Street Foundation and CMRF Crumlin. Nice one.

Where's the trailer?

It landed last week and if you simply can't wait between now and Friday, here's the teaser:
