Every Thursday, we're joined by James Kavanagh who tells us what's going on around Dublin at the weekend and, with it being Pride weekend, there's lots of excellent stuff.
James Kavanagh's Top 5:
(1) Love Brunch, Saturday @ House, Leeson Street
If you like a rave with your eggs then this is the thing for you. I went a few weeks ago and was dancing like it was 2am at 1pm. It was amazing and such a fun alternative to a somber brunch. If this sounds like your thing, head to House on Saturday.
(2) Mother Block Party, Saturday @ Tivoli
Given it's Pride this weekend, the city will be awash with gas gay fun. I went to the Mother Block Party last year and it's such a welcome escape from the (fun) chaos of the streets. Jam packed with amazing DJs (incl. Jake Shears & Little Boots) and buckets of craic. Also v handy for keeping all your friends in one place as there's no need to leave.
(3) Hunt & Gather's Rebel in Love, Saturday @ Merrion Square
These guys throw the most aesthetically pleasing parties. Everywhere you turn is Instagram-worthy. They are going all Pride this weekend and hosting gorge workshops and fun things in Merrion Square this Saturday. Expect; a David Bowie sing along, acro dance workshop & spoken word. All in stunning surroundings!
(4) Madonna @ Sing Along Social, Sunday @ MVP
I went to the Sing Along at Body & Soul and I can safely say it was the best thing at the festival. 500 people all singing in synch to Spice Girls. It was heavenly. This Sunday it's in MVP and it's Madonna - divine. Imagine voguing with 100 other people? Unreal. More info: https://www.facebook.com/events/239800463071758/
(5) Cocktails & Tapas @ Brown Thomas' The Restaurant
I dropped in here last night to try out their new cocktail bar and I can safely say it's delish. It's such a heavenly little escape from the bustle of town and it's never busy, so is v relaxing. Get an espresso martini and salted almonds. Delish.
