Three things to watch on TV this week:

1) Mindhunter, Netflix from Friday October 13th

It's another crime series! Mindhunter explores the origins of criminal profiling at the FBI. Set in 1979, it follows the story of two special agents as they introduce the idea of criminal profiling to the FBI. It's based on a book by former FBI agent John Douglas- he interviewed notorious serial criminals like Ted Bundy and Charles Manson to try and get into the mind of a criminal. It stars Jonathan Groff (Glee). We're not gonna lie, this looks amazing.

2) Peaky Blinders, Series 3- RTÉ 2 at Thursday

SO obviously this isn't a new series - we are eagerly awaiting an air date for season four of Peaky Blinders- we've already been graced with many teasers for it, check them out here  .

We even have details for season 5 even though it's not due to air until Sprin 2018- new cast members Adrien Brody and Aidan Gillen were revealed last week. HOWEVER, before all of that RTÉ 2 will re running series three from Thursday to whet your appetite for the new series. This is exactly the recap we need!

3) The History of Comedy, Sky Arts, Thursday at 9pm

Originally broadcast on CNN, this documentary series is coming to Sky and explores the cultural and historical origins of comedy in the US. Each episode tackles a different theme and the first episode deals with female comics and features Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman and Betty White- they chat about the sexism they face in the industry. Later episodes explore the psychology of 'tormented' comics like Robin Williams and the whole idea of the 'tears of a clown' image.
