A person has been taken from the River Liffey in Dublin.

Three units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene near Heuston Station.

Firefighters from Dolphin's Barn, Tara Street and Phibsborough stations attended - along with a swiftwater rescue boat.

The person has been transferred to an ambulance.

Their condition is not known.
