The Notorious could become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles in two weight classes at once, as he is set to fight Eddie Alvarez.
UFC President Dana White announced the news last night on ESPN's Sports Centre, confirming the pair will enter the Octagon as the main event at UFC 205, when the organisation makes its triumphant return to New York's Madison Square Garden on November 12th.
Earlier this year, Alvarez beat Rafael Dos Anjos in the opening round of their fight to claim the Lightweight championship.
