1. Microsoft are hiring 200 new staff in Dublin. The available positions are for their sales hub and come in addition to 500 positions they announced in February.
2. Taylor Swift is leading the pack with six nominations for the 2017 MTV EMAs. Shawn Mendes is up for five awards with Ed Sheeran and Kendrick Lamar bagging four nominations each.
3. Hillary Clinton will be appearing on the Graham Norton Show along with Jeff Goldblum, Gerard Butler and Jack Whitehall. She is currently touring her new book What Happened, her take on why and how she lost out to Donald Trump. The episode will air on Friday 20th October.
4. Takeshi’s Castle is returning to TV. The game show will air on Comedy Central with Jonathan Ross confirmed as the commentator.
5. And finally, The Telegraph has revealed that nearly 1/3 of our phone notifications make us feel hostile, nervous and upset. The most annoying of which are work-related alerts, phone updates and Wi-Fi availability notifications.
