Longitude Festival gave us a sneak peak at their 2018 artwork yesterday and teased us with a 'coming soon' message.

Naturally we got very excited thinking about who could appear on this year's lineup so we decided to do a predictions list...

Post Malone

In recent years Longitude Festival have been known to have at least one massive urban act as a headliner. Last year we had Stormzy and The Weeknd. The year before was Kendrick Lamar. Post Malone is on a festival tour this summer and his sophomore album 'Beerbongs & Bentleys' is rumored to drop in 2018. With no Irish tour dates announced yet he could pop up as a Longitude headliner.

Mabel

Longitude Festival like to book artists to play just before they're about to blow up (Stormzy played in 2016 and Dua Lipa played last year). Mabel has had three massive tracks recently and is about to head off on tour with Harry Styles. Although she is playing Dublin twice in April we think she could make a third appearance in Ireland this summer.

Migos

Sticking with the presumption that we can expect a massive urban headliner Migos could be a great fit. They're also on a festival tour this summer and are in the UK for Wireless Festival on Saturday 7th July, which guessing that Longitude Festival is happening on 13/14/15 July, wouldn't be too far for them to travel if they stick around Europe for the week.

Ramz

Ramz's 2017 hit Barking has been massive for the English rapper. He also featured on a remix of Raye's 'Decline' which came out in January. We predict this year will be huge for Ramz making him just the kind of act that Longitude Festival like to book.

Cardi B

Cardi B is everywhere at the moment. Her music is racking up hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify and she's just been announced to support Bruno Mars for the US leg of his Finesse tour. She's playing a number of festivals this summer and will also be in the UK for Wireless Festival at the start of July. She got engaged to Migos member Offset in October, could the couple be planning a trip to Ireland together?

SZA

Most recently SZA has featured on 'All The Stars' the huge Kendrick produced track from the upcoming Black Panther movie soundtrack. In January she finished up a massive tour for her 2017 'Ctrl' album and has some US festival tour dates booked. It would be great to see her play Ireland soon.

Mike Skinner & Murkage Dave

Mike Skinner is bringing The Streets back on tour this year. He'll be playing two sold out shows in The Olympia Theatre this April. Although we think it's unlikely The Streets will play a festival we could see Skinner's second project 'Mike Skinner & Murkage present Tonga' somewhere on the lineup. They're booked for Malta's Lost & Found festival in May leaving some free space in July.

Not3s

Not3s had great success with debut release 'Take Not3s'. His upcoming Dublin date in the Academy 2 was upgraded to the Academy Main Room due to demand. He's also a friend and collaborator with Mabel. Could the two make an appearance in Marlay Park together?

Khalid

Khalid will kick off a US and Europe tour tomorrow in Germany. Although he's playing over 35 dates he isn't coming to Ireland. He's booked for Hyde Park, London on 14th July so maybe, just maybe he'll pop over to Ireland the day before or after for a Longitude slot.

The Kooks

In 2016 The Kooks announced a 'Best Of' tour which brought them to Dublin for three sold out dates in January. That tour is wrapping up in June and the band have some festival dates booked in. They are playing the Saturday of Nos Alive in Portugal on the same weekend we think Longitude will be on but they could be a good fit for Sunday night.

And now we wait...
